Reduction, or reduction mammoplasty, solves correction of excessive breasts size. It is indicated not only because of aesthetic reasons, but also because of health reasons. When breasts weight is reduced, lot of health troubles, such as headache, cervical spine pain, breathing difficulties or legs swellings disappear. Simultaneously, the surgery can correct breasts asymmetry.

For whom is the breast reduction suitable?

In general, it is recommended to solve breasts shape and size, when woman doesn’t plan any more pregnancy, because a part of mammary gland is removed during the surgery. Breast reduction is not suitable for women, who have indicated any serious disease of breasts tissue, breast-feeding women or women, who have been breast-feeding recently. Significant obesity is undesirable for this surgery too.

What is the surgery process?

Breast reduction it held under general anaesthesia and after foregoing complex preoperative examination. The surgery itself takes about 2-3 hours and requires one day hospitalization at the clinic. During the operation, mammary gland is reduced. The part of the operation is removal of excessive skin, breasts modelling to desired shape and firming up. Usually, large areolas are corrected.
