Falling lids, overhanging skin and fat prolapses around the eyes are a frequent problem, which with increasing age effects many people. Ideal solution is modification of lids (reduction of effective skin) or blepharoplasty. However, many people have fears of complications or from visible scars, which can have difficult healing. These fears are quite pointless at the partner clinic not only because we have latest instruments and technologies and individual method of most modern pre-op and post-op treatments, but also because we have the honor to cooperate with recognized experts in CZ and abroad.
How is the problem created?
Skin in the area of upper and lower lids is exceptionally burdened by mimicries and in addition it is the thinnest on the body. Highly noticeable expressions of aging therefore start relatively early as opposed to other facial areas. Wrinkle fans form on the lids and in the area of outer corners, excess skin and even overhangs form, generally on upper eyelids. Above the inner eye corners and bottom lids we then see significant bulging known as "bags under the eyes" caused by the fat vesicles pushing from the bottom onto the weakening circular eye muscle and loosened skin.
How does treatment take place?
Wrinkle fans and fat vesicles pushing from the bottom are removed from the bottom eyelids where these cause bulging and change in the shape of face. The treatment area then has the bags under the eyes removed, wrinkles are smoothened, eyelids are stretched and we see a rejuvenated look around the eyes. For upper lids, where distinct excess skin and even overhangs usually dominate and bulging above inner corners, a previously precisely measured excessive strip of skin is resected under the eye of the upper lid following the application of local anesthetic and also we perform the correction of the circular eye muscle to improve the contour of the outer half of the upper lid. The result again is a youthful look and clear eye contours. This method is applied even following congenital asymmetries or injuries.
Electromagnetic Wave Pellevé
If you only have slightly sagging lids, well then that must not necessarily mean a surgery. A fully noninvasive option for sagging lids is the Electromagnetic Wave Pellevé. This can rejuvenate the eye area, raise the lids, modify eyebrow placement, stretch brow and rid the face of a frowned older expression.
We will gladly consult you for free and with no strings attached, which technology would be the most beneficial for you.
We successfully use the newest technology enabling modification of lids in a much shorter time period using only local anesthesia while limiting visible scars. By performing a precise treatment we minimize the risk, limit bleeding, avoid post-surgery pain, swelling or bruising and at the same time fast healing takes place. The procedure is ambulatory and not time demanding.
Upper and lower lids can be modified in a single treatment if requested, but this is subject to evaluation and decision of an experienced physician. Thanks to the individual approach to client treatment healing time is cut short. We approach the lid issue coherently and all corrections are performed with full respect to natural anatomical function and physiology of upper lids, eye and accessory lacrimal organs. Optimum corrective method is selected with respect to these attributes.
The lid correction itself does not have only aesthetic significance, but also functional, where removing excessive skin and fat vesicles allows easier lid movement and small muscles around the eyes are less burdened. Correction of lids can also remove eye tearing or poor vision causing headaches, tendency to eye tiring and spontaneous swelling.
