Tumescent liposuction is a modern surgery, which removes excessive fat tissue. Thanks to this liposuction you will achieve the desired figure with almost no pain and long recovery. It is a very quick and gentle procedure, which assures permanent results. It is thus recommended to clients, who want to reduce their weight by 5 to 15 kilograms. The most often modeled areas are the abdomen, buttocks, thighs and under chin. For men it is also for example breasts, arms, or calves.
When is tumescent liposuction suitable?
Tumescent liposuction does not represent a cure or solution to obesity, but rather serves to shape the figure and dispose of fat in localized defined issue areas. Tumescent liposuction can be performed for men and women of all ages. To maintain the effect of liposuction it is appropriate to modify your lifestyle to the reduction of fat.
How does treatment take place?
About an hour before the procedure the given area is impregnated with a tumescent solution, which contains a physiological solution, local anesthetic and adrenalin. This solution ensures local desensitization; therefore the treatment itself is pain free. This lowers bleeding at the time of the procedure and makes it easier to remove the fat cells. Volume of tumescent solution pumped into the body is about twice the volume of removed fat. Thanks to this solution it is possible to remove a greater volume of fat using thin cannulae, which are placed under the skin through small, 3-5mm diameter, openings. These do not need to be stitched, because they heal by themselves. Fat removal thanks to the desensitization is thus fully pain free. In one procedure a maximum of 4 liters of fat can be removed. Liposuction takes about 1 to 2 hours and so the total procedure time, due to the wait for local anesthesia to take effect, is around 2 to 3 hours. However, the length of the procedure can vary according to the extent and number of treated areas.
From what areas can fat be removed?
Since the area is being impregnated with local anesthetic and thin cannulae are used, it is possible to apply tumescent liposuction in just about any area. The most often modeled areas are issue areas of the abdomen, arms, buttocks, thighs, calves and under chin. For men it is also for example men's breasts.
What is the time of recovery?
Immediately following the procedure you may see small bruises and swellings, but these disappear very quickly. The first 7 days following the procedure it is recommended to relax. Procedure results are best visible 6 weeks after the procedure, when the client is without limitations.
